Corrosion-Resistant Solutions by Application

In corrosive environments, it is crucial to select materials and finishes that ensure maximum corrosion resistance for interior doors.  Common applications include areas with high humidity, exposure to chemicals, or coastal locations. Recommended materials on Ives hinges, pivots, door pulls, and vandal resistant trim include stainless steel, brass and bronze, which provide durability and longevity. Additionally, on select Ives pivots, an optional weatherproof (WP) resistant bottom pivot is available in US26D (626) or US32D (630) finishes is enhanced for maximum corrosion resistance, making it ideal for use in harsh environments.
